About us

DAZE Accounting Limited is a company registered in England and Wales. We are an ACCA licensed firm and are bound by the ACCA Code of Ethics and Conduct.

What we do

The services we provide are set out in an engagement letter agreed between us. These may include bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, annual accounts, corporation tax, Self Assessment, Making Tax Digital submissions and advisory work.

We are not responsible for anything not covered by that engagement letter. If you need something extra, tell us and we will confirm whether we can help and on what terms.

We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care, in line with applicable professional standards.

What we need from you

You agree to:

  • Give us complete, accurate and timely information.
  • Tell us promptly if your business or circumstances change.
  • Review and approve anything we prepare before it is submitted, where that applies.
  • Keep proper financial records and give us access to them when we need it.
  • Meet your statutory deadlines. We will help you do that, but responsibility for compliance sits with you.

We rely on what you tell us. We are not responsible for errors arising from information that turns out to be inaccurate or incomplete.

Fees and payment

Our fees are set out in your engagement letter. We work on a fixed monthly subscription, agreed before we start.

The price does not change unless your business does: you take on staff, register for VAT, add a company. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before we begin it.

Payment is monthly by direct debit. We may suspend services where payment remains outstanding for more than 30 days.

Confidentiality

We treat your information as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except:

  • Where the law, regulation or our professional obligations require it.
  • Where you have asked us to.
  • Where we use third-party providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.

These obligations continue after our engagement ends.

Anti-money laundering

As a regulated firm we must comply with the UK Money Laundering Regulations. Before starting work we will verify your identity and that of any beneficial owners.

We are obliged to report knowledge or suspicion of money laundering to the National Crime Agency. Where such a report is required, the law may prevent us from telling you it has been made.

Professional standards

We are an ACCA licensed firm and bound by its Code of Ethics and Conduct. If a conflict of interest arises that cannot be managed, we will tell you and may need to stop acting.

We hold professional indemnity insurance as required by our regulator. Details are available on request.

Liability

Our liability to you in connection with our services, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or the limit of our professional indemnity insurance cover.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business or opportunity. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

We are not responsible for decisions you make on the basis of incomplete information, or where you have not followed the advice we gave.

Ending the engagement

It is a rolling monthly arrangement. Either of us can end it with one month’s written notice, sent to support@dazeaccounting.com.

We may end it immediately if fees remain unpaid for more than 30 days, if information you give us proves false or misleading, or if continuing would put us in breach of our professional obligations.

You remain liable for work completed up to the termination date. We will hand your records over properly to whoever takes over, rather than making it difficult.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything we have done, tell us first by emailing support@dazeaccounting.com. We will acknowledge it within five working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you can refer the matter to ACCA. We will give you the details on request.

Website use

The content on this website is general information, not advice for your specific circumstances. Do not act on it without talking to us or another qualified adviser first.

Quotes produced by the quote builder are indicative. They are based on what you tell us and are confirmed properly before anything is agreed.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time and will give existing clients reasonable notice of any material change.
